It seems like there’s been a lot of buzz lately about Kundalini and the activating or “awakening” of it. First of all, let’s break down what Kundalini is: in the most basic sense, it simply means your life force energy. Stored at the base of the spine, it stays coiled up (it literally means “coiled snake” in Sanskrit) and somewhat dormant unless it is intentionally activated. Once it is, it travels up the spine and purifies the other chakras, activating and aligning your physical body.
We’ve begun hosting Kundalini Activation Process (KAP) open classes at our Hollywood location, and plan on doing many more based on the unbelievable results people are having.
You might be wondering, “What are the benefits of activating your Kundalini?”
Kundalini activation is great for removing blocks—both emotional and physical. It leads to an energetic freeing up of space while also raising your vibration and helping to dissipate negative thought forms, feelings and beliefs. People who have done even one class say that it has a way of energizing and uplifting them on many levels.
It can also help remove lower forms of depressive energy or feelings. Someone may feel euphoric body waves, an opening up to psychic messages, hallucinations, and sometimes involuntary body movements. For anyone on a spiritual path, you haven’t experienced something like this as it’s a super powerful transmission of energy. If there’s anybody new to the spiritual path or questioning higher power or energy, KAP will leave you with an undeniable sense that we are energetic beings and there is so much more out there.
Venant Wong is a transmission vehicle, and the founder of KAP. He has hand-picked and trained a select number of facilitators to do this work throughout the world, and through his unique ability to work with kundalini energy, has imparted the ability for his facilitators to also transmit this energy.
Alexandra Michelle (pictured above) is one of the trained teachers who facilitates our very own KAP classes. A sincere quest for truth led her to a spiritual awakening in 2013. Since then she has trained in numerous methods and traditions to continue to facilitate and support her own awakening process. After a lifetime of seeking, this journey allowed Alexandra to recognize the unique potential KAP has to offer.
So, what happens during a KAP class?
You lie down on a yoga mat. Some music is played.
The facilitator touches, presses or directs energy towards some of the chakras or meridian points on your body. That’s it…on the surface. What happens on the inside is a totally different story!
Spontaneous movements often arise accompanied by the sensation of energy moving through the body. Some reflect that it can be a cathartic experience providing deep insights and realizations while others may report arriving at bliss states or expanded levels of consciousness. With continued exposure, a profound rewiring of the brain structure and central nervous system occurs supporting deeper integration of the energy in your daily life. During a session, every “symptom” or sign of a kundalini awakening, from the earliest signs of subtle energy flow to the later end manifestations of embodied, non-dual states of being, including experiences of samadhi, are regularly observed in participants.
KAP is generally considered safe, though given that it is such a powerful transmission, please be aware that it can sometimes release unprocessed emotions. This is a key part of the process and it is our recommendation to give yourself time afterward to support integration.
